Sometimes a Thursday in the summer can be boring. Other times, it’s a race to be in 12 places at once. This morning I prepped the Arrma Fury for a photo shoot. As the 2000mah NIMH (yes they still make those) peaked and got nice and warm I packed up my car with photo gear then headed over to HPI Racing for a lunch date. What was a routine “hey how you doin’?” meeting, quickly went up a few notches as I was able to shoot Ty Tessman’s pair-o-national-champion winning Hot Bodies. His buggy and truggy were still “race dirty” which to me made things more interesting. I got to nose around the cars a bit to see what little tricks and tidbits he used to make his car the next level. All of which is noted and ready for the next issue.
I also asked about the new Ken Block partnership and got to see/shoot a pre-production kit with a sick looking Fiesta body wrapped in DC/Monster flair. My chicken Parmesan and rigatoni was good, this day snapping pics at HPI was even better.
My final stop was over to Revelations Raceway to meet the local legend and VRC contributor Ben Piggott for a quick photo shoot with an Arrma Fury. I can’t spoil all the details about this day, but I can share a few pictures and let you know that VRC_003 is going to be sick!
