TIRES ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR CAR, but even a perfect set of tires will do you no good if they can’t stay firmly planted on the ground. That’s where your shocks come into play; they fulfill many roles, including absorbing bumps, generating traction, and smoothing out landings. But their most fundamental job is to maintain contact with the racing surface and allow you to pump the ponies into the ground where they are most effective. A smooth, well matched, bind-free set of shocks will allow your chassis to clamp onto the racing surface……
