Duratrax goes racing – DXR8-E steps up the the race track

Let’s be honest. Duratrax isn’t a racing brand, but that doesn’t stop brands from trying right? It’s similar to those who laughed off Hyundai or Kia and now we see those brands leading sales charts and turning out quality cars. So when the team at Duratrax puts out a car that they are claiming is going to take on the racing elite, many will laugh it off, but it’s not always smart to do that. The DXR-8E is a race rolling kit that you have to outfit with the proper gear.

We can only speculate at this point (we’re all arm-chair engineers right?) but the car looks to have all the proper key words when we look at the specs. It’s got aluminum suspension mounts, light weight composite chassis, good looking aluminum big bore shocks, spiral cut gears, big bearings, keyed motor cam, and even some “racing tires” (we say it like that because there aren’t many kits that come with race-able tires) that will at least get your running around a track.

So on paper, we’re paying attention and if they claim this is ready to take on the pros…we have no problem getting it on track to see. We do like to point out this kit does come with Duratrax’s stress-tech warranty…that’s right, they’ll replace any part in the first year. That, we do feel, is a great promise to get people to pay attention.
