One of the major purchases in anybody’s RC timeline is a high-end computer radio. KO Propo has been that choice for tons of racers around the world and their new, funky EX-1 KIY might have you thinking you ordered the wrong thing. Not only is this Japanese radio very strange looking, almost transformer-esque actually, it comes un-assembled! It’s not that crazy since all the major components are assembled, but you do have to actually put together the radio.
The catch to that is you can customize the radio in various ways to increase comfort and make it look stranger! We just groped the radio and twisted all it’s buttons and it feels very high-end and less “plasticy” than some of the competition. At a wallet puckering $579 it better feel pretty special since most other radios are half that. Luckily KO is known for quality and reliability, which most are willing to pay more for.
